Lucas Coen stood out in his class for having pink hair. It was his natural colour, but substitute teachers sometimes refused to believe it, and had him sent to the headmaster for breaking the uniform code. The headmaster was a lovely man, and after being sent to his office again for the same false infraction, the supreme leader of this private elementary school did not dismiss him as usual, but began to explain his class's latest field trip.

"Lucas, I understand one of your parents is from a small town in Iceland" the headmaster began. "Umm... I dunno, sir, all I know is that my dad's a mage and my mom has a funny accent"
"Well" the superior continued. "Next week your class going to visit this small town, named Lazytown. I think you might make a friend or two there. You see, I know the mayor, and he has a niece who I think you will like" He said no more, and quietly dismissed Lucas from the room.
In the yard that recess, Lucas retold his story to his friends. "...and then he said that I might like this girl who's like... I dunno, the daughter of the mayor or something"
"Lucas" piped up the smaller boy with the thick glasses and thin green hair. "You know we are going to Lazytown to do Geography fieldwork, not date" All of his friends began chortling at this statement, at which point Lucas left to the main playground, where he would be subjected to taunts of "Pinky!" for the few minutes left of recess.

For the rest of that week Lucas was perplexed to why the headmaster said he'd like this girl. He'd vaguely heard of a television show set in "Lazytown", but if it was set in a real life town it was likely to be one of two things: a boring documentary or a cheesy soap opera. One night he approached his mother, who was knitting in the lounge as usual. "Mom" he said. "What's Lazytown like?" At that moment the middle-aged woman lost all interest in her knitting as she remembered the vile taunting she'd recieved from the town trickster, Halldora Troubleby, over her bright pink hair. "Umm... I have to go out now, Lucas... women's problems!" she rapidly intonated as she ran out of the room, scared for her son's safety at the hands of this person, no, monster, who was prejudiced against everyone who was diffeent from her in the slightest.

After a long plane ride, including stopoffs in London, Aberdeen, Torshavn and Bergen, Lucas and his class, now with their regular teacher, Miss Stein, arrived in this town, which did not live up to its name. Everyone, of every race and creed, were playing together on the town park. After lunch at a small burger bar in the town square, the class began to socialise with the locals, as they would be there for several days, learning about how the sun never sets in winter in some parts of the world. Lucas' first impression of the town was not good, for he had been called "Pinky" by a young girl of Asian origin. However, this impression of Lazytown was counterbalanced by the girl's mother lambasting her. "Trixie Troubleby, don't make fun of people because they're different! I was once like that... until I met your father!"

As soon as Lucas began walking across the park, the most beautiful girl he had ever seen came into view. Her hair glittered pink in the seldom fading Icelandic sunlight. Her dress reached down to her knees, allowing her perfectly toned calves to be seen, albeit slightly obscured by thick dance tights and legwarmers. It was love at first sight, and she seemed surprised that there were other people who had pink hair in the world... well, apaprt from when Bessie had a pink rinse. "Hi" began the boy. "You must be the Mayor's daughter..." "I'm his niece" she smiled. "But that's no problem. I'm Stephanie Meanswell" "I'm Lucas W. Coen... I'm here on a field trip, but the teacher is considering sending us home now she found out the sun doesn't stay in the sky 24 hours a day in summer here, and that elf magic or something makes it set at 8:08 every night..."

Before they parted, they exchanged details. Lucas, now with the address of this dancer of the stars, was happier than the rest of his class, saddened they had to go home after two hours and 100 dollars each.
Happy birthday ~marioblade64 :D :cake:

This is how Lucas and Stephanie first met :) Enjoy ;)

Notes: Trixie's name was originally Trixie Troubleby, but this was shortened when the show was being streamlined for the international market. "Halldora", the name of Trixie's mother, is, I believe, the full form of "Halla", Trixie's Icelandic name. Stephanie's name was originally going to be Stiffany Splitz, but that was changed for obvious reasons... and with that, I went for Stephanie Meanswell, as most viewers are familiar with her family being the Meanswells.
