It was a beautiful sunny day on the outskirts of Diamond City. Princess Shokora and her little sister Kyandi were leading their friends through the woods. "We gotta find a suitable spot... Lavender?"

"Yes?" replied the youngish New Age- looking woman who today, instead of her regal outfit, donned a mauve T-shirt and a pair of lilac flared trousers. "How was that spot by the tree at the top of that hill you've just been up?" "Clear". "Thank you Lavender-san for finding us a nice place to eat our delicious picnic!" piped up Princess Kyandi. "You're welcome Kyandi-chan" Lavender said as she ruffled the young princess' hair. The party walked up the hill to where an oak tree stood, not as dominating as the ones heard in lore, but still with enough shade to protect the picnickers from the rapidly rising heat.

Sapphiro and Merelda unrolled the sheet, Detonetta and Madame Uiiko lay the food out while Shokora, Kyandi and Lavender soaked up the view from the hill. "Look at all the lovely mountains, little sister" Shokora pointed out the snowcapped peaks virtually next door to the throbbing city they had just left. "They're pretty!" Kyandi was excited. "Since we all live in the big city we very rarely get a chance to see the landscape outside it" Lavender explained. "All the big buildings get in the way" Amethyst, Lavender's Keyzar, was chasing a Pyoro that had flown out of the tree. "Typical animals" she giggled to herself.

Shortly afterwards, all the friends were settled down, eating lunch. Merelda was munching on a carrot, Detonetta was halfway through a batch of watercress sandwiches, while Kyandi ate onigiri in her normally polite manner. All the others were sharing their experiences through mouthfuls of bread, meat and vegetables. "And that's how I managed to rescue that poor baby Growlithe... stranded on a snowy peak"
"Uiiko, your devotion to Growlithes and Arcanines knows no bounds" said Sapphiro. "It's a bit like my love for Merelda. I would be willing to die for he-" Somebody had tapped him on his back.

"Um... hi... is this spot taken?" Sapphiro looked up to find a young man in a red T-shirt and blue jeans holding hands with a fair lady clad entirely in pink, whom he recognised as...
"Princess Peach Toadstool" she said modestly, bowing. "Eric Behm, Peach's lover" said the boy. "Wait a second" asked Detonetta. "I thought Peach's lover was that guy in the suit... blond hair... y'know... I forget his name..." "Ah" said Eric. "This is a different fanon!" "Umm... yeah..." Detonetta had been confused. "So does that mean we can't exist in another fanon?" "You're making my head hurt..." moaned Kyandi. "Can we join you?" asked Eric. Peach phrased it more politely. "What my partner says is may we please join you for lunch?" "Sure!" said Sapphiro. "Sit down if you may"

The friends sat talking for hours. Eric talked about how Peach had bravely rescued him from the wrath of Kamek, and about their upcoming wedding. "Look" Eric flashed his engagement ring at the congregation. "Pure Peachiness!" "Interesting that you bring that up" replied Merelda. "Me and Sapphiro will marry soon too!"
"Ooooooooooh! Two weddings!" Shokora couldn't contain herself. It was a very well-known fact Shokora adored weddings, the formality of the events; the tying of two hearts in whatever matrimony they practise...

As the sun set upon the happy scene, Eric turned to Peach as he went in the opposite direction to the others. "It was meant to be" he whispered in her ear.
